Travelogue
The capital of Scotland is one of the most beautiful-looking cities in Europe and my favorite city in UK. Edinburgh is a medieval old town and has been quite successful in preserving its history. You can easily discover this with every step you take. From historical Edinburgh Castle to the old buildings, from narrow closes to the most famous gateway The Vennel, from the huge Scott Monument overlooking the city to the streets that make you feel like you are in a film scene.. All this glory is will be waiting for you.
Edinburgh is a city of culture. Not just historical places to visit, the city hosts a number of festivals which are known as the Edinburgh Festival. The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world's largest arts festival. From all over the world, lots of people is coming to see this.
Also there are a number of large, world class art galleries and museums in Edinburgh. National Museum of Scotland and The Scottish National Gallery waiting for the art lovers.
The weather is generally closed and rainy. But in fact, when the days passing by, you are starting to understand that it hides a separate beauty in it and that is completely suits to this city. Walking through the wet streets has never been so beautiful.
The city also a great place for photography. There are plenty of spots, streets, view points, terraces. For me, it was the most enjoyable city to take photographs.
At least 3-4 days should be reserved for Edinburgh, one of the most special capital cities in the world.
