Travelogue

Denmark has one of the happiest human populations in the world. After my visit, I easily realized why. Denmark, one of the pearls of Scandinavia, has always managed to attract travel lovers with its level of prosperity, livability, nature and rich values. I am quite happy to be able to visit and travel this beautiful country. Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark is the most populated city. I can literally say that it was the most aesthetic city I photographed. That characteristic feature of this city comes from the side by side colored buildings and pleasant views they create, the canals pass through the city and make a great harmony with all of them. Also when you meet the cute ducks walking around the canals of Copenhagen, you won’t stop yourself to take plenty of pictures.

Even though Copenhagen has its own metro line, it is so easy to discover the city on foot. Copenhagen is way smaller than the other European cities.

Between the canals, in lovely parks and vibrant streets.. Every step you take, you will feel that you enjoy walking in this city more than ever before in your life. Also cycling is one of the best ways scouting Copenhagen. You will feel Amsterdam even for a moment!

Besides all of this, you can join a canal tour and start to enjoy plenty of city views while on the water.

Nyhavn & Christianshavn are the most famous canals. Especially Nyhavn is the most known place in the city; with multicolored buildings on the right and left, wooden ships and the cozy restaurants offering jazz music, Nyhavn has become an iconic tourist attraction. In here you can easily spend hours watching the surroundings and the people passing by.

Copenhagen is a favorite photography location for photographers. Both amateur and pro, it is one of the perfect choices. For me, Copenhagen is among the first countries I have been with my digital camera. I learned so much about photography, thanks to lovely streets, canals which offering me beautiful views. Wherever I was, I absolutely found something to shoot. So when it comes to photography, Copenhagen is a total inspiration. For me, Copenhagen is the 2nd place after Japan where my hands were busy.

Copenhagen streets has definitely deserve a special paragraph. I am pretty sure you will never figure out how the time passed while you are walking. That is why you should give at least a half day to explore just for the streets. Of course you can not see all of them, but here are the most famous and photographed streets: Charming Magstræde, Olufsvej where the place make you say I wish I live here, Blågårdsgade containing lots of restaurants and bars with full of music, comfy Elmagade, Overgaden Oven Vandet lying beside Christianshavn, Amagergade with orange-red buildings, Jægersborggade; one of the most coolest streets of Copenhagen, the long Strøget, the intersection of Sankt Peders Stræde and Larsbøjrnsstræde streets.

Be sure to stop by Nørrebro and Vesterbro; lively neighborhoods of Copenhagen, for resting your legs, feeding your empty stomach and tasting local food and having a good time. Recharge in Østerbro, a serene and the most greenery area of the city which has many peaceful parks and bike paths.

If you have plenty of time for Denmark, don’t leave the country without visiting lovely Aarhus, Aalborg and Odense.

Copenhagen awaits you with its relaxing vivid views and this city will create a smile on your face. Even if you don’t come here happy, you will definitely find happiness in Copenhagen.
